Synthetic Primer

Product Description:

Synthetic Primer is a specially formulated solvent-based primer that offers outstanding adhesion and is designed to be fully compatible with Bitumen Enamel.

Application:

This primer is ready for use upon delivery (after proper stirring) and can be applied to clean, grit-blasted steel pipes through spraying or brushing. For standard thicknesses, the dry film thickness should be 20-30μm, with a wet film thickness of 100μm. The primer provides coverage for approximately 10 m² per liter. Wet film thickness can be adjusted by ±20 μm, resulting in a variation in dry film thickness of 5μm. Under normal ventilation and at an ambient temperature of 25°C, the drying time ranges from 4-12 minutes, depending on the pipe temperature. During application, the pipe temperature should be between 10-50°C and at least 3°C above the dew point.

Storage:

Store this product hermetically sealed at temperatures between 5°C and a maximum of 30°C.

Standards:

Synthetic Primer complies with or exceeds all the requirements of EN 10300, Type 1, and AWWA C 203.

Quality Control:

All raw materials used in Synthetic Primer are rigorously tested and approved in the laboratories of BITUPLUS BITUMEN Co. Each batch undergoes testing to ensure compliance with product specifications, and a quality certificate is provided with every delivery.
