BituPlus Bitumen Grade 10/20 is a penetration grade bitumen produced through the non-destructive refining of crude oil in the petroleum refining process.

Bitumen 10/20 is categorized as a heavy traffic grade, providing long-term cost savings by allowing for thinner pavement designs that use up to 30% less asphalt compared to traditional designs, all while ensuring an extended pavement lifespan. It falls within the penetration grade range of 10 to 20 and has a softening point between 58 to 66°C. This grade of bitumen is commonly used in road construction and repairs, as well as in the production of asphalt pavements. It is a preferred choice for manufacturing hot mix asphalts.

Applications

BituPlus Bitumen Grade 10/20 finds its application in hot mixed asphalt due to its significantly higher viscosity when compared to other grades.

Typical properties of BituPlus Bitumen 10/20:

The properties of BituPlus Bitumen Grade 10/20 adhere to ASTM D946-09 standards.
