Plasto-Elastic Polymer Modified Bitumen
Product Description: Plasto-Elastic Polymer Modified Bitumen, known as BITUPLUSSEAL, is a single-component, hot-applied plasto-elastic polymer-modified bituminous concrete paving joint sealant. It is specifically formulated for use in horizontal expansion joints and cracks. This sealant is supplied in solid form and can be applied using sealing melter applicator units.

- Concrete aprons and airport runways.
- Concrete paving on highways, runways, and taxiways.

Application of Polymer Modified Bitumen: Crack Configuration:
- Minimum Crack Depth: 10 mm.
- Width/Depth Ratio: 1/1.5.
Surface Preparation:
- All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from loose adhering particles.
Heating:
- Heat up to 170 ±5 ºC in a controlled oil bath or oil jacket melting-vessel with an agitator until achieving a smooth, even, and pourable consistency.
Application:
- Apply using a melter-pourer or, for detailed work, use a metal-lipped bucket.
- Sealing can be done at environmental temperatures of 4ºC and higher.
Cleaning:
- Clean all tools and equipment immediately after use with kerosene or other appropriate solvents.
Safety Instructions: Safety precautions should be taken, including wearing goggles and gloves during application. In case of contact with eyes, wash them immediately with plenty of water and administer first aid.
