BituPlus Bitumen Emulsion CQS-1h is a cationic asphalt emulsion designed specifically for use in slurry seals and micro-surfacing projects. This high-quality emulsion contains a minimum of 62% bitumen and has a rich chocolate brown color. It remains in a free-flowing liquid state at ambient temperatures.

The slurry seal process involves the mixing of the emulsion, aggregate, and additives within a specially designed machine, which also applies the mixture. Since the cationic emulsion is a chemically stabilized system, precautions must be taken to avoid disturbing the chemical balance through contamination by other chemicals, prolonged exposure to air, or adverse mechanical or thermal conditions.
