To make Oxidized Bitumen 150/5 usable, it must be heated to a temperature range of 200°C to 300°C, which is double the softening point temperature, in order to achieve the required flow and viscosity. The production of Bitumen Oxide 150/5 involves blowing hot air over penetration grade bitumen in a controlled process until the desired specifications are achieved. The name “150/5” denotes the softening point at 150°C and a penetration value of 15 desi millimeters. This product is manufactured in compliance with ASTM standards.
