Bituseal Coating System

Introduction:

The Bituseal Coating system represents a collaborative effort between Phoenix International A/S and Shell International Petroleum Co., delivering a polymer-modified bitumen pipe coating solution. This system seamlessly combines the simplicity of hot-applied coating methods with robust corrosion protection, offering clients a reliable and cost-effective solution.

Technical Superiority:

In terms of technical properties, Bituseal not only meets but often surpasses the performance of 3-layer polyethylene coatings. Its track record demonstrates exceptional effectiveness in safeguarding gas, water, and offshore pipelines.

Bituseal Coating Field Joint Membrane:

Joints are typically the vulnerable points in any pipeline. The Bituseal Field Joint Membrane is purposefully designed for quick and straightforward on-site application, providing the same high level of corrosion protection as it does for pipelines themselves.

Bituseal Membrane is employed to cover pipeline joints or repair damaged coating sections. It can be supplied in the form of rolls or patches, presenting a unique solution from both technical and economic standpoints. It serves as an excellent alternative to heat shrinkable sleeves.

Beyond its compatibility with the Bituseal system, this membrane can also be applied effectively to various other coatings, including 3-layer polyethylene, bitumen enamel, and coal tar, ensuring consistent performance.
