Spunbond Bitumen Roll Sheet

Introduction: Spunbond Bitumen Roll Sheet utilizes cutting-edge technology to produce nonwoven Spunbond polyester under specific mechanical, thermal, and chemical conditions. This low-weight spunbond material is recognized as one of the most robust and versatile engineering materials, with applications spanning various industries, from medical and sanitary to automotive, waterproofing, and packaging. BITUPLUS, a market leader, supplies and exports Spunbond Bitumen Roll Sheets to the Middle East and worldwide. In line with international standards, BITUPLUS ensures product quality that competes with advanced countries, referencing ASTM Ref. No. 5726.

Spunbond Technology: Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) granules are extruded into narrow fibers, stretched using jet pumps at speeds of 4000 m per minute to enhance strength. These fibers then form a string-like tissue with a distinct pattern on a web and ultimately create a homogeneous polyester with the aid of thousands of thorny needles from needlers. To stabilize dimensions and establish a robust polymeric bond, the polyester undergoes a calendering process and is further enhanced with resin, resulting in lightweight, resistant, flexible, and unique polyester material.

Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET): Polyethylene Terephthalate is a crucial member of the polyester family produced through the high-density polymerization of ethylene glycol and pure terephthalic acid. Initially used in the 1950s for synthetic fiber production in the UK and USA, its applications expanded to include packaging industries, such as bottles, films, disposable containers, and electronic data storage films, after structural modifications in the late 1970s. PET polymer is typically commercialized in the form of chips or granules, transparent when amorphous and semi-opaque when crystallized, and its global use has grown significantly in various products.

Spunbond Applications:

Spunbond Application in Waterproofing Industries: Spunbond polyester, a product of advanced Spunbond technology, serves as a robust substrate with high tensile strength in waterproofing bitumen sheets. In the US and Canada, traditional tissue and regular polyester methods have been abandoned due to environmental concerns and lower tensile strength. They have been replaced by Spunbond, recognized as the strongest engineered material for waterproofing bitumen sheets, significantly extending product lifetimes.
