Bituseal Enamel
Product Description:
Bituseal Enamel is a coating based on specially selected bitumen, modified with high-performance engineering polymers. This polymer modification enhances several key properties of the product, including flexibility, adhesion, and durability. Bituseal Enamel is available in various types and grades to meet the diverse requirements for corrosion protection materials in pipeline applications.
Application:
Bituseal Enamel is applied to steel pipes that have been previously primed with Bituseal Primer. The application process involves utilizing computer-controlled extrusion technology at temperatures ranging from 190°C to 230°C. This precise method ensures the attainment of an optimal coating quality. To achieve optimum adhesion and bleed-through, it is recommended that the pipe surface temperature before coating falls within the range of 30°C to 50°C. However, the minimum surface temperature should be 15°C and at least 3°C above the dew point. The minimum enamel thickness applied is 4.0mm.
Storage:
Heated Bituseal Enamel should be stored under constant low-speed stirring. The specific storage temperature and duration depend on the grade of Bituseal being stored.
Standards:
Bituseal Enamel complies with or exceeds all performance requirements outlined in EN 10300.
Quality Control:
All raw materials used in the production of Bituseal Enamel undergo rigorous testing and approval in the laboratories of BITUPLUS BITUMEN Co. The quality of the finished enamel is meticulously controlled, conforming to either EN 10300 standards or specific requirements from customers. A quality certificate is provided for each batch produced.
Bituseal Coatings:
Bituseal Enamel is suitable for pipelines operating within a temperature range of -30°C to 90°C. Additionally, this enamel is environmentally safe.
Mechanical Protection:
To enhance the mechanical protection of onshore pipelines coated with Bituseal, a polypropylene shield can be applied.
