Our Cutback Bitumen SC-30 is in compliance with the specifications for slow-curing cutback petroleum asphalts, as outlined in ASTM D2028-97 (reapproved in 2004). It is specifically designed for use in the construction and treatment of pavements.

SC-30 grade cutback asphalts share similarities with residual refinery products, often used as heavy fuel oils like bunker C or Number six fuel oils. These SC cutback materials, whether in their straight run form or blended with a relatively non-volatile substance like gas oil, are also referred to as “road oils.”
